Count_Chocu1aI used to have a p4 3.0, & they are no slouch. Even if you think it will bottleneck now, when the newer crop of games come out, it won't. You should still be able to play games at a reasonable res. like 1024*768 w/ some eye candy turned on. If you are just trying to justify NOT spending more money on a gpu, then don't. BUT, remember, when crysis, gears of war, quake wars, & alot of other games come out later this year & early next, the 7600gt won't be able to play them at a decent res, maybe 800*600 with medium settings. A 7900gt should be able to pull them off at 1024 with higher detail. I game at 1280*1024 & really no slow down. I think this will last me until dx 10 cards arrive & are implemented.

as long as you have at least 1gb of pc3200 ram and a mid to high end video card, you should have NO trouble at all. my pc runs doom 3, FEAR, Oblivion, Fable, NFS:MW, CoD2, BF2 and anything else i throw at it, at the highest settings and at 1280x1024 resolution. honest to god.
