(Queeg, is this the thread you were mentioning?) I've had a PB Init failure a couple times in RTCW, but I don't play WildWest.
In SoF2, I get kicked constantly by punkbuster. It may have to do with my CD key, but I don't use cheats so I am not sure what it is.
I hope you have bought the game. :uhoh:
Yes I bought the game, but my dad lost the CD key somewhere so he used some website to get us free ones, but everytime we go into PB servers we get kicked.
Lets not try to talk about free CD Keys.
Yes, that is a legit kick. Once a CD-Key has been used by several people at the same time, it eventually gets added to a stolen CD-Key list. This it is of no use to anyone including the person who actually bought the software.
I did a little testing with some new PB files given to me by Ignacio: I got on last night and was booted at the first map change for "unknown reasons". I dropped in the pb files and on the next map change I was kicked. Again for unknown reasons. I didn't try to get the group on Rockridge to do a manual map change, but I did go into a server by myself and forced both a manual map change and by returning the objective on beach. Neither resulted in a kick. So, I think the perception is correct that the first two players (two at least since I didn't get kicked when I was on with just Queeg the other night) to load the new map get through ok, and it's kick city from there.

Ha! I knew it! I was right! Whooo Hooo! Thats what I said in my post. Look below:
[quote= My Post]I have noticed that when the map changes, me and A-E were always the first ones to be fully on the server (not 999 in ping). And the ones who were 999 were the ones at risk of being kicked, and yes, they were kicked due to "No Packet Flow". So I think, the faster you are fully connected to the server after a map change, the less of the chance you have at being kicked via PB.
I'm also told this has been a problem in America's Army...
