This problem first occured on May 30, 2004 for Americas Army. Then Evenbalance released the RTCW patches and the problem was there too, but the RTCW patch was released four days after the Americas Army patch.

We have made some progress on this... Hewster has discovered that the Warmup time is one of the key triggers to this problem. If you increase your warmup time, people will not be kicked between map changes!

BTW we are working with evenbalance to come up with a solution within punkbuster itself. Hopefully this will be resolved in an up coming release for all pb games.
Fantastic news. Hopefully the longer warmup times will be implemented soon - I've often thought that the WW warmup times were much too short right now anyway...the new game would be surprisingly far along by the time my computer had been loaded the map some times. :(
In WW the warmup times were set very short because sometime in the middle of testing 1.4 we would occasionally have an entire team crashout if the warm up time was too long. It stayed that way in 1.5. It has now been fixed in 1.6. :w00t: That's one reason why WW was so vulnerable to this this particular issue. If Even Balance actually does what Hewster has suggested and delays their check at the start of the game, this problem will go away for most servers out there. However in the mean time, if I have my stories straight, it will go away in WW with the 1.6 release when we update our "suggested" server configuration.
Ive seen it happen in CoD and Bf 1942 i think...May be wrong about bf. though.
Yep it does happen in both of those. If you see it on a server, you migh twant to have the admin increase the warm up time and see if it goes away....
