Thanks Sam well I did the tests I thought I PM'ed you the results but here they are: 3DMark05: 2931 Aquamark3: GPU=7.788 CPU=8639 Score 53.698 I uninstalled the hotfix since I had a lockup on GTA San Andreas. No more lockups since the hofix was uninstalled. The difference in performance with and without fixes is really not noticeable. Well thanks again!

Kpeters;3665390A timing problem supposedly. It's not a problem with the processor its a problem with Windows. [...]

Ok, thanks. So, what does this problem do ? Does it generate errors or anything important ?

Nope, I haven't had a PM from you about the results but never mind now lol.

Much better than the conflicting fixes and the crappy graphics card you'll now be able to turn up the eye candy a bit more on your pc.

I'm using the DCO over the Hotfix (dont really wanna try the hotfix) and I can definitely notice the speed-up it gives my rig over not having it on. Then again I have also heavily overclocked my system (2.66Ghz now up from 2.64Ghz) so really I should expect this noticeable performance increase.

Good luck with your PC in terms of gaming and who knows? If you learn the dark art of overclocking (I call it a dark art) you can get more performance from your machine.

Sam ;)

If you're wondering what your bottleneck is, try leaving the task manager=>performance tab open while you play the game. You'll see how much each processor is using. If you have dual core, only see 1 CPU in the performance tab and you're not using XP home - you should reinstall windows and perform the hotfix right off. Play the game and quit right to Windows, you'll see what your CPUs were at, if they're at 100% - there's your bottleneck. If you want to see your performance over a longer period of time - make the task manager window bigger.
