They're, umm, all 64-bit now.

It would be nice for AMD to get some well-deserved publicity from the masses (because quite simply, Dell almost have a monopoly when it comes to selling computers to the uneducated). However, it would be sad to not be able to belong to a small niché of those who've seen the light in AMD.

That's immature though. Dell should have recognised that AMD are superior to Intel, but there will be large issues to overcome - Intel will have a contract with Dell which will have to be ran out, and I believe Intel have some power over AMD when it comes to allowing them to use some of their technologies - Intel could stop letting AMD use their stuff in the event of Dell dumping Intel, which would be disasterous for AMD.

So the way I see it for the consumer is- slightly decreased performance, for that same price.

There not gonna be putting Athlon XP's in them.....

like C38368 said, all AMD's are 64 bit now.
