I'm not asking for help, just giving some feedback. And it seems to me is definitely is hard-drive related, why else wouldn't be detected by the motherboard's BIOS after windows' crash if it were only an issue with Windows ? I'm listing only one problem there by the way ... I think you didn't really take the time to read it.

im getting a WD 160 GB SATA HDD, but its OEM(newegg) so im just buying a $2 SATA cable that comes with a clip for it, works wonders
