Because I am and it's getting to be quite a bother. Only happens in Chrome and only on certain videos. I'll load up a video and it's just a black screen, with audio only. I've tried clearing my history, cookies, cache, signing in and out, everything. Nothing helps.

Are you using flash or HTML5 player?

Both seem to have their flaws these days but of differing types.

If you haven't changed any settings and you have flash installed, you're using flash. Youtube only uses HTML5 if a)You don't have Flash b)You specifically tell it to.

Thanks for that, R2D2. Would you be able to explain how one "resets" a browser, I am curious.

I'm having a similar problem with Opera, I'll get audio, but the video is a solid green screen, I believe I'm using flash. What an odd problem.

Works fine for me on the Chrome based Iron browser.

Check this out though, it may help: Google Groups

Personally I hope HTML 5 or something even better completely replaces Flash eventually, because I detest Adobe.

It's happening on both Firefox and IE, too. Very bizarre.
