Has anybody seen this motherboard? It's the only one I've heard of that supports Socket 478 P4s and PCI-Express, I'm thinking about it for my next upgrade because I don't want to buy a whole system when I can just get the MB + videocard. I haven't seen this in the flesh at ANY of the stores around or any websites I've checked out. Obviously they are phasing out the 478 sockets, but I just want to know if the card actually exists.

I believe I saw it once, several months ago, at a local shop. But never since then. I know it doesn't do you much good directly, but a quick check on Newegg returned one S478/PCIe x16 board, an Albatron PX915P4C. You might look for one of those, but Albatron wouldn't be my first choice for a motherboard, although I have heard of the company many times before.

Not really my first choice either, but anything helps. My dad has an Albatron GF4-mx440 videocard and it does heaps better than my very old sparkle one. The main shops around here only ever sell ASUS, MSI and Gigabyte hardware, makes it hard to find anything a bit off-normal. Thanks.
