Look here http://www.rage3d.com/index.php?cat=75#newsid33817316 ATI's version of SLI, called Crossfire, was put head to head vs SLI and it looks like it had a bit of an advantage.

ATI's version of SLI, called Crossfire, was put head to head vs SLI and it looks like it had a bit of an advantage.

like SLI doesnt produce enough speed?... i like nVidia myself personally but nice one ATI

Ha! Like we didn't see that one coming. Looks a heck of a lot less fiddly to set up too. I wonder who has the rights to 3dfx method of SLI, that's still the best one I've seen so far.

Nice ATI is coming back. Bin screwed By nvidia an my checkign account shows it never gogint o by a Nvidea card agen 5 years going anti Nvidia

Nvidia owns 3dfx's sli... thats why it has the same name

but it works completely differently (well kinda'), it's like they've taken 3dfx SLI design and intentionally made it shite.

Regardless of how much the cards cost this way of doing it is not as good as the old 3dfx SLI, (every other line rendered by each card, this effectively doubled the speed,) I just cant see why if they owned the rights to the 3dfx way they would do this, (well actually I can, marketing decisions n'all.)

I like ATI alot better then Nvidia, they just make better stuff :moon: nice to see that ATI is still competitive
