The 'green' jack on my onboard sound doesnt work. I came back after watching tv and noticed that my 2 front speakers werent working and my rear 2 and my sub woofer was fine (all 4 speakers were working before i went to watch tv). So i tested to see if my headphones(on splitter with then front 2 speakers) was working and no sound was coming from that either. I tried adjusting the volumes, adjusting surround sound, unplugging it and trying again and reinstalling drivers. But still nothing. The front speakers work when i plugged them into my MP3 player so somethings wrong with the jack. Im all outta ideas and i need help. Anyone? Thanks.
Funny you say that... Mine did dsame thing and I had to twist the jack out of the socket a hair and it works. Jiggle it and see what happens, I bet it's like mine and something snapped inside. I have my headphone jack almost halfway out now and it works fine.
noo...jiggling it didnt work. And i doubt that pulling the socket out a little bits gonna help here.

I meant pulling the headphone jack a tad out of the socket.
I don't know about your issue, but that is how mine played out. Card was sounding very weird and then it went to no sound at all. I wiggled the jack and heard noise, so I twisted it out of the socket a hair and it works nice now. Don't really want to buy a new Z Gamer card!
Good luck with your isue.
I didnt hear any sound in the front speakers when jiggling it so pulling it out most likely wouldnt work. Plus i dont even know how you would pull it out a little

Unplug your headphones. Then turn up the volume on your PC, and make sure everything is unmuted.
Next plug your headphones back up, slowly,... Very slowly, untill you hear sound. Turn up your volume again, and unplug it, very slowly. Untill you hear something. If it doesn't work, move slower. ;)
Are you sure that the audio jacks are enabled? Are the muted? Some cards allow you to switch audio output ports, have they been reverse? (ie, Line Out is used instead?)
Everything is unmuted. Tried using headphones & speakers. All audio jacks are enabled. Only rear speakers are producing sound and they are the 2 rear channels(not rear speakers playing front channel). I didnt changed any settings at all and now theres no sound on the front speakers...And this is onboard sound and i tried reinstalling drivers with no luck
Time for a Audigy card ;) Want to buy mine
ha, i ll make sure its COMPLETELY busted and/or not fixable before i ll buy a new sound card. Hold on to that audigy
I FIXED IT!!! For some reason the rear jack didnt work unless i plugged in my FrontX. FrontX is a thing that came with my motherboard that has 2 usb jacks, mic in, and rear out that fits in a cd drive space. I just installed a new power supply yesterday and rewired everything to make it cleaner and i plugged in the frontX very sloppily. When i just checked it was out of the prongs so i stuck them back in. It probably fell out during the time i was watching tv...so then i started up...sound on all 4 speakers. Thanks for everyone that tried to help though.
