Hi, i was just wondering what the hell that input is. Like my LCD TV has one of those in the back, anf i plugged in some cheap speakers into it, and they werent working. Presently the same speakers are plugged into this laptop via the headphone jack. So my main question is, what is the difference between an audio out mini, and a headphone jack. Is there any difference, and what kind of speakers do i get for my televison that will work. thanks

Do you have a digital camera that you can take a picture of it with? If the speakers aren't working on the tv, but they are on a laptop, it might be an a/v port. Get us a picture if you can and we will be able to help you.

thats a really bad pic, the rest were worse tho, its the hole on the very left. It looks like a headphone jack, and headphones fit in there, but it' not a headphone jack, its an audio out mini. Any help now, cuz i need to buy speakers for the damn tv. thanks

On one of my stereo speaker sets, the two speakers are seperate (well, they usually are, but the connection is with a port rather than a permanent cable connection). The 'main' one is powered and has the 3mm (headphone) jack. The other connects to the 'main' speaker with a small jack, looks like a 3mm jack but it's smaller. Maybe it's something like that?

Whats tv do you have. Smaller headphone jacks can be used as a line out, meaning that the volume on your tv doesnt control the volume out of the jack. Usually used when plugging straght into an amplifier. Can you take a non blurry pic and also the exact name of the LCD tv you have! Should be able to help as i am a Theatre Tech and use lots and lots of cords!

well thats the tv, i know its not that good, i had a tight budget :( but i like it

i cant take another pic because my batterys dead, and i lost the charger thing, its like some dock and god knows where it is. I appreciate the help, so let me sum up everything i know. My xbox 360 is plugged in, and when i used the speakers that plug into a headphone jack, they werent working, on the tv via the audio out mini. I didnt try normal headphones, but im assuming they wont work. So basically i want to know that if i buy some speakers that connect using the audio out cable, the one that came with teh tv is a green cable, will they work? Thanks for the replies, i appreciate it
