My new PC has vista and it seems fine to me so far. The more I play the more I like it.

Better indeed! Maybe 5 fps at best on some games, hardly worth a whole system upgrade. But I will stick around to hear about games that were designed to run on DirectX10 hardware like Crysis.
I was never going to buy Vista in the first place [I'm still running Win2k on my gaming computer, no problems WhatSoEver!], and this just ties the knot on that for me. You?

What games you playing AmySue?
I play a lot of Oblivion and to me, this link shows me and others that a Vista upgrade is completely unneccessary. Other games and benchmarking utilities are covered IN THE THREAD. Although obviously the DirectX10 games will take advantage of Vista and it's new renderer.
Theres a game on vista, where you can make cakes. :3

Your quote and post are meaningless in this thread.
What do you mean his quote and post are meaningless in this thread. This is a discussion forum is it not? I don't understand where your coming from... AmySue said she has no issues with this, and he asked what games she plays. Obviously is she plays older or less graphically intensive games, the said issue would not be immediately apparent. dis·cus·sion /dɪˈskʌʃən/ [di-skuhsh-uhn] –noun An act or instance of discussing; consideration or examination by argument, comment, etc., esp. to explore solutions; informal debate.
Are there some posts missing?
Bs|Archaon;3517586Are there some posts missing?
I think C3 edited out a disparaging comment in a post above. Post jumping doesn't help either. It's a conspiracy to misdirect and confuse us all!
I too am interested to hear what games AmySue is playing and how they perform on Vista in the real world (and not from some possibly biased article). I'm pretty sure she plays GTA games for one as she was/is a mod in that forum.
My new PC has vista and it seems fine to me so far. The more I play the more I like it.
How much of an upgrade was your new pc compared to your last one? It may well be that your gaming bliss is due more to the new hardware and less to the new OS.
Captain Amerika;3515882Better indeed! Maybe 5 fps at best on some games, hardly worth a whole system upgrade.
I don't think that it's reasonable to think that a new OS is going to give you any better gaming performance.
Considering that Vista uses more resources than any other consumer OS around, actually getting higher FPS than XP is an achievement, even if it's only with some hardware.
