AVG? Avast? Cyberdefender? Norton?
I prefer Cyberdefender. Their 24/7 tech help has gotten me out of several jams. What do you all use and why?
Avast! Its free, has a small footprint, and constantly scans. It also picks up a load of stuff if you scan properly.
They say Kaspersky is the best, but it isn't free.
I like Avira AntiVir, it is free but relatively effective for that.
Avast! user here as well, great product :)
If your willing to pay a little then: Kaspersky or Nod32 are the best.
If you want a free antivirus then AVG, Avast or Avira are okay options.
note: You tend to get false positives with the free ones I mentioned (Detecting files as Trojans when in reality there harmless.)
Another vote for Avast here, great AV and still the best free one IMO.
I use Avast on one computer and Antivir on another. I have to say that Antivir is slightly less obtrusive, but that Avast is (apparently) slightly more effective. I don't know though, I don't go out of my way to infect my PC with all sorts of virtual nasties.
Another satisfied avast! user here. To the best of my knowledge it's never given me a false positive, but it's never missed anything actually dangerous either.
If you want free, definitely use Avast, if you want to pay money get Norton, I've used Norton for years and never once had a virus.

Omg, Norton support sucks though. Good program, but HORRIBLE support. The stories I could tell you......
