I didn't make it!
I downloaded a bittorrent thing about a month in a half ago to download a really big battlefield 2 movie. After I got the movie I deleted the bittorrent thing because I didnt think I would need it anymore, and I deleted it instead of uninstalling it. Now I found this awesome site with a bunch of military videos but you need a bittorrent thing to download em. So i downloaded another one from a different site and when i tried to install it, it said that there was already another version of bittorrent installed, do you wish to remove it and install the new one. I click yes and it said unistallation failed, aborting installation. How do I get rid of the old one, I thought I deleted all of it but I guess I missed some of it.
You need to get rid of the registy entrys probably in HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > [app name] Or just download a differnet client such as ABC, Azureus or Bittorrando (sp?)
Yeah Bittorrent is the way to go. Do not use the official client. I've heard it comes along with nice little goodies if you know what I mean. I use this client - www.read the forum rules.com - It's pretty good and let's you manage your bandwith.

Well considering how a mod posted minutes before you, I think it is alright. This is not promoting warez in any way shape or form.
However it is promoting the use of a program which allows illegal downloads, which is strictly forbidden. You may say that Torrent clients are for legitimate downloads too, but the same applies to music p2p programs yet they are forbidden. :lock:
