Okay so I'm just going to lay down every bit of info of what's happening and what methods I have tried. Certain websites [a lot of facebook pages, myspace music pages, certain pages on cars.com, and a BUNCH other] kill my browsers. NOT MY INTERNET, my browsers:

My browsers just straight up die. Google chrome, Firefox, Opera, IE just cease to continue working. Out of the 4 I use Chrome just because the issue occurs less [still a lot]. They all just sit on "connecting" and then white page/ connection error. All the while I'll be on ventrilo or just boot up some L4D or something[MOTD websites are 404'd on steam obviously].

Now methods I have tried are: Using a PCI ethernet card/switching ethernet cable, reformatting [THREE TIMES, so this is recurring, it started back in August], and now to fix it temporarily I have to unplug my router [belkin] and my cable modem.

Other confusing things about this: It affects every computer in my house, EXCEPT my parents use AOL on their desktop and laptop which continues to work... WTF?

I've asked a BOAT LOAD of people and they've just been baffled because this doesn't even make sense...?

Sounds similar to something the1chaos was recently having trouble with:

Read through that thread and see if you find anything helpful there.

I get that too, not often, about once per week, I think, but if you do get it, try refreshing the page first (F5). Other than that, there isn't any advice I can give to you about this.

Sounds like a router issue alright. Can't help you any more than that though.

Yeah, seems like the only possible explanation. Router is a good 2-3 years old. I'll probably pick up a new one in the next week or two then, maybe it'll fix it. Hoping Verizon FIOS becomes available in my area soon as well, would love to switch from IO.
