Hi guys, hope you can help me.

A friends pc, AMD 2600+ 512 Ram 80GB Seagate AsRock mobo Generic cheap soundcard 5600xt

He had problems with it a while ago and used a disc from a laptop to reinstall Windows, obviously it didnt work right and subsequently took 15 mins to boot up and never did anything right.

Since then i talked him into getting another version of Windows and do it from scratch which initially worked fine.

I did it myself and it worked fine all day yesterday absolutely tickety-boo, being updated, rebooted etc. etc.

He turned it on today and instant BSOD? I had him reset the BIOS which worked once, then it recurred, so i had him start in Safe Mode and restart as normal to bring Windows on properly, which also worked once.

It has been restored to the moment Windows was installed but to no avail.

All the Mobo drivers are up to date, Gfx drivers too, s/card and all the other rubbish.

I think deep down it is a problem with the Ram but it works ok in mine.

Bit cheesed off now if anyone has any gleaming ideas let me know.
