Im basically just wanting to know if this psu will work on the asus motherboard listed below. Would i be better off buying a different power supply....any suggestions? Would this psu fit in my case? Would the cables be long enough? Im building this pc for gaming and plan on overclocking a little bit. This is gonna be my new setup without the ram, and my XFX 7950GT, and other goodies. Antec makes good an stable power supplys and it should be enough for your system but since you are overcloking I think you should get a 600watt just to be on the safe side. Oh and I whould have gone for a difrent motherboard. A motherboard that is based upon the Intel 975X chipset.
Tagan rock, but Antec makes good stuff so stick with that unless you really want to change it.
Unless you're gonna be using SLI or Crossfire, the PSU is fine.
I have an Antec True Power 550,and I LOVE it! Antec is the only power supply i will own. One suggestion is maybe to go with a higher wattage pretty soon the cards are gona need more and more power especially when it comes to Sli. May wanna look into upping the power to save headaches later.
