Ok, hypothetically Im asking all you master builders "What is the cheapest system you could build and OC that will out score a stock rig with the following parts: 3.8GHZP4, 1GB DDR2, 6800Ultra, 200GBsata2, Nforce4mobo." Let me know your theories, keeping in mind our goal is to make the CHEAPEST rig that can our benchmark this in all games. Lets the games begin......

Are you going to bother to post whatever your hypothetical system benchmarked to?

Mobo-$76.25 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813135177 HDD-$112 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822152022 Processor-$267.00 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103533 RAM-$192.60 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820221022 Vid Card-162.00 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814125156 All I could think of =/ Just requires an insanely good cooling system and a good case. EDIT:: Oh right; benchmark. Be back with that later

That setup looks ok, but you could go with a really cheap 40GB IDE hard drive, and some $99 OCZ PC3200 RAM at 2-3-3-6 1T. Overclock the RAM and CPU, then use the extra money to get a 7800GTX instead. The 24 pixel pipelines will do wonders. Overclock the 7800GT a little, and your good to go. You could probably get over 10,000 in 3Dmark05 with lots of overclocking, and you could probably to it for little mor than $1100.

See, I think that a 90nm AMD 3200+ OC'ed to 2.5ghz paired with a 6800GT OC'ed and 1gb of DDR ram with a nice 120gb sata could give the P4 rig a good run for its money... By the way, that hypothetical rig would likely have a 3Dsm of around 10,000 IMO... so it shouldnt be THAT hard to beat, the question is the cheapest way of doing it.
