I have a PC, I'd like to change into a Media Centre PC, but I am not sure what size motherboard will fit into the case.
It currently has a Gigabyte Columbia IV (GA-8SIML) Ver 1.2 µATX motherboard, but I have never heard of 'µATX'. Is it a baby or a normal sized board?
I have a feeling it might be baby by the looks of it, but I am not sure.

µATX' or micro atx is a slightly shorter form of the normal atx, usually there is only 3 pci slots instead of 5 as in a normal atx board, usually the specifications are similar to larger boards.
here's the one you are asking about
there are quite a few different types so it would be worthwhile finding out exactly which one yours is
Thinking about it.
Would this power supply (http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?rb=18467850127&action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=90615) be compatible with this motherboard? (http://support.packardbell.com/uk/item/?sn=029391920281&g=1400)
I think it will but I'd just like to check.
μATX is identical to ATX in every respect except for size (and by extension, number of expansion slots). Other components that interface with an ATX board will also work on a μATX board.
