Hey all...Well, that build I had a thread before on, I have gone over a few revisions, since I talked my friend into a budget of 1500 instead. Well, I changed the motherboard to something I think is much better. Way better processor. But, I don't know, would I need anything better then the 450watt Single Fan Power supply that the case comes with? Plz check it over, and tell me. And also, is there anything you would recommend I change, plz don't suggest changing something that would make more then a 25$ difference. Thanks... ABIT Fatal1ty AN8-SLI Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard eVGA 256-P2-N537-AX Geforce 7800GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Processor Model ADA3700BNBOX CORSAIR XMS 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered Dual Channel Kit System Memory Model TWINX1024-3200C2PT Western Digital Caviar SE WD2500JD 250GB 7200 RPM Serial ATA150 Hard Drive So, what do you think? oh, and after you done with this, I will post a thread about the periphreals, asking if there are any of the ones I have listed you would not suggest, cause of unreliable brand.

Looks OK to me. Sweet rig! About that PSU though - Is it a cheap "came-with-the-case" one, or a branded model such as Antec or Thermaltake? Remember, cheap PSUs can't be relied upon to run at their highest rated power for long - as I found out not so long ago. :( And if your system is going to be drawing lots of power, an underperforming PSU is a serious problem. If you haven't already, look into a decent brand one, those will happily churn out maximum power for an indefinate period of time. Remember, it doesn't matter quite so much about the wattage, it's whether it can maintain that wattage over a period of time.

To save a few bucks get a 200gb maxtor, 16mb cashe serial ATA for $93 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822140168 Then you can get a better power supply with the cash. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817148008 its only $55, spend it and be happy that your computer will boot up with that 7800gt

Thats the only thing i can see that you might want to look at changing, Like Rookie_42 said, what brand is it? If the case comes with a pretty well know or reliable brand you would probably be okay though, what brand is it?

Thats going to be one nice computer! I wish i could build one like that :(

good luck with it!

K, thanks Pethegreat. I think I will use that one, kind of matches the color scheme anyway. (blue lighted fans)
