I've been using my PSP more than in the past year or so lately and it now has little white dirt/dust specs on it. I tried cleaning it with a soft cloth on the screen and it's on the inside. My question is, do I violate my warranty or anything if I take it apart just enough that I can clean my screen(By this I mean is there any tape or some kind of thing that lets them know I've opened it like they have on PS2s, Xboxes, etc.)? If so, how am I supposed to clean it without violating warranty?

Yes, you can do it, but yes, it will violate your waranty.
Do you know if it's just technically a violation and they can't actually tell or is there something in there that lets them know?

Are you suggesting fraud? ;)
No, I mean if theres not much risk I'll just take the plate off, clean it and put it back on, I'm not going to mod the thing. The dust is so bad I won't even play my PSP because it's all over the screen. Someone told me I'd have to send it to Sony and have them clean it, but that sounds expensive and I don't think they'd appreciate my homebrew on there.

Most likely you've already voided the warranty by putting 'dubious' software on it.

yeah man just follow that guide marvin posted, its pretty good. im gonna try it when i go home.
Well the homebrew is merely a matter of removing the memory card and putting the original Sony one in. Only problem is I have 3.03 OE-B so I couldn't get that off there. Oh well, thanks for the help everyone.
