I have even searched for the files that are related to this issue which i have read about. Sasser is related to it...and its not on my computer, along with others. Here is a logfile from hijack this. LSASS is a registered Windows program that deals with your security policies. Mind you, it can also come bundled with trojans or viruses...

Do you have any A/V software installed on your PC?

A lot of people confuse the legit Windows process LSASS for the trojan horse, LASS.

I see three AV's running at the same time. AVG, Norton, and McAfee. You should only being running one AV at a time, as running more than one can cause the AV's to conflict with each other. Try shutting down two, and see if that helps.

It also looks like you have a lot of unecisary stuff running too, but I'm not seeing anything mallicious.

Try starting up in safe-mode, and seeing if you're having the same problem then.

As you can probably tell, I suck ass at translating HijackThis logs. ;)

I've also found a page on LSASS: http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/lsass/

It's not too hard to do. Look over the names of the processes that are running, and look for names that you're not familiar with. You also need to have a pretty large PC vocabulary (meaning, you need to know what words are associated with what programs, like Symantec and Norton).

If you receive this message, go to Start > Run > enter shutdown -a

This will only stop the machine from rebooting, you will however need to reboot at some point otherwise Windows will not function properly.

Rescan with HijackThis and place a checkmark next to the following... O2 - BHO: (no name) - {67C241AD-9058-86A8-35F4-A291594F9CFB} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\nmzq.dll (file missing) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {A9D882CC-457B-46DA-0AF3-65530708149F} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\jhcji.dll (file missing) O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Widp] "C:\Program Files\aoae\tuac.exe" -vt ndrv ...then close ALL browser windows and proceed to Fix Selected

Download [Pocket KillBox]

Extract and open the file. Copy/paste the following into the textbox, one at a time. For each, press the red X icon and confirm to delete... C:\WINDOWS\system32\nmzq.dll C:\WINDOWS\system32\jhcji.dll C:\Program Files\aoae\tuac.exe C:\Program Files\aoae If any could not be deleted, select the option to delete on next reboot and repeat the above. Confirm the prompt to reboot only after the last one has been entered, if applicable.

Then go to Start > Run > enter appwiz.cpl

From the list, uninstall PurityScan if listed or anything similar to [...] by OIN

Then post back with a logfile from a fresh HJT scan.
