Hmm, the X800 is a pretty low end and old card. But I dought you want to upgrade. Have you already tried updating your drivers? EDIT: If you haven't heres some sites to download the drivers from.

For XP: AMD GAME Drivers & Tools For Vista: AMD GAME Drivers & Tools

yes the card may be older, but you are talking about running tv through it. Tv's only cast at 30fps. The x800 should be able to do pretty well with it.

It does highly depend on driver support though.

Desktop will probably look like crap , throw open a game or video and see how it looks (had that problem on every TV I've tried).

Is it a resolution of 1680 1050? I had to manually set a custom resolution on an X600 to get a decent display, within the ATI drivers.

If it's a 32" LCD it'll probably look best at 1366x768, although your graphics card may not be able to do that exactly.

The tv owner Manuel will help there. I tought the only way to hook a pc to a tv was hdmi tvs allow DVI? Im still useing a tv that takes HDMI Component cables lol... Make sure your tv Takes DVI like i said i never heard of a PC connecting to a tv via DVI only HDMI.
