well, according to tomshardware......
crossfire isnt as good as i thought, it rocks......but SLI seems to have a "slight" lead in some places, and not in others........plus SLI can be cheaper
Mmm. Looks tasty.
As to whether or not people will be after it, I'd have to agree with Tom's Hardware - people have got used to nVidia SLI (Am I the only one who remembers the reference to the old 3DFX VooDoo SLI?), and will probably be wary of CrossFire at first - But, since I'm a die-hard ATi fan, you can guess what I'll be after. ;)
so am i, but it really isnt as big of a jump as i thought.........not to mention SLI is cheaper, i have to say it......my next upgrade may involve SLI
Keep in mind that the compared SLI system is two 7800 vs two X850 in crossfire.Yet, both are on par in many tests even if the 7800 is better than the X850. I suppose this means the crossfire X1800 will take the ultimate performance crown soon.
ahahah........komrad, i didnt even notice that.......thanks for pointing that out
I didn't make it!
ok, why the hell, would they test a x850 xt pe, AND A 7800gtx? its very obvious which would perform better. imho, they should have use two 6800 ultras, its in the same class as the x850 xt pe. LOL, the x850 xt pe in crossfire whooped the 7800's gtx SLI in hl2 coast!!! HAHAHA "it is better to disable SLI and play Half-Life 2". MY conclusion is, crosfire has the upper hand. having a more genious way to render things in the future will improve gamming performance rather than more core speed and pipes. ATI is on the right track, and than radeon xpress 200 is jsut way to sexy. i'd trade a girlfreind for it :P
