Hey everyone I need help figuring out what to do: I have a Saphire Radeon HD 3870 512MB DDR4 in my PC. I want to upgrade because my current card is no strong enough for the new games that are coming out. I want to know what will give me better performance: 1. A new Radeon HD 4890 1GB DDR5 2. An additional HD 3870 512 DDR4 set up in a Crossfire with my current one Please help!

4890 will blow 2x 3870s away. Hell a 4850 will blow them away.

Indeed. Go with the 4890 for sure, you won't be disappointed.

Though you may want to wait a bit for the new ATI 5000 series to roll out. Prices on current stuff should drop a good bit.

This scares me. Who wants to take bets on how long its going to take me to get a 5870/90? =D So far in a little over a year I've gone through x1950xtx,3870,4850,4890

Kow and I can vouch for that  he overclocked his to 975/1155 (as you see in his sig) with a stock cooler, which should tell you something about their overclocking capability. Mine was factory overclocked, and even if it wasn't much of an overclock it's still awesome.
