hey guys! I just want to know how to run .dat files. I download a file like that in the internet and i can't open it. Please help. thanks.....:)

You should be able to open it with notepad.

Wordpad is even better, retains some of the formatting...

Its a pretty generic file format that can store MANY different types of data. Can you be more specific?

You use the manage attachments box attachment.php?attachmentid=13129 The option to open this box is located in additional options for your post. (found beneath the main window in the advanced post mode)

I tried it but it says invalid file type. do you have an e-mail so i could just forward it to you.

ok! join thi s group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/private_tisay then after you join. go to files then open Diana Zubiri DeZire Videoke. then open the files inside.

Turn it into a .zip file with an appropriate compressor and then upload it.

Most of the data files are unreadable when you open it up cause it is in binary, however the programs the uses the dat file will know how to read it. At last that is what it does when I program in Java.
