hey guys...i have 266 mhz 128 mb DDR and 256 mb dimms in my mobo.. i am plannning 2 get a 512 pc2700 ddr in replacement for the 128.. so this combo pc2700 512MB ddr and pc2100 256 MB ddr..will be ok? or is it gonna cause any problem to stablity or speed? :eek: :uhoh:

probably not, except that the ram will run at the lowest speed which will be the pc2100

as mitch said, there most likely wont be any conflict but you could always (depending on your motherboard) set the bios to force the 333mhz speed.

aite..thnx.. but i wanna know if a 1GB DIMM or a 512 + 256 combo will be better..? ofc ..1 GB will be better but..will the combo cause any problems..i mean...will it slow down the comp or somethin?
