Sorry if this question has been asked a billion times but... i am planning to buy a directx 10 video card if and/or when they come out. So my problem is, will i need to buy a new motherboard? I am also in a hurry also because i have a mini atx motherboard that is annoying the heck out of me:mad:
Edit: If i don't need on can u tell me if this foxconn motherboard is good for me and gaming?
not really, just needs to be a pci express 16 bus
nice i need a MoBo to go with myNew 775 pd 3.0
DO NOT GET FOXCONN.
I would get Epox before i would get a foxconn m8.
Sweet, you don't need a new mobo?? I'm in business then.
I have another question. Is it possible to run an AGP and PCIe card together?
No .. you can not run agp and pcix together. While there are boards that have both, they are not compatible with oneanother for sli production.
I didn't make it!
I guess you can get Diret X 10 as long as you have a pci express mother board. But you will need vista to get the DX 10 effects.

u can so run a AGP and PCIe. but you got to get a board that supports it, but the PCIE is 16x but ull only be able to support 4x/8x on the PCIe. but you will only abel to use one or the other at once agp or the pcie card.

Yes ... that is what i said. You can't run them in sli. So if you aren't running them in sli, then you are not running them together ?
Ok first off Direct X is a video graphics standard intended for graphics. There is also direct sound for sound cards. It creates a standard which all game developers can use to develop 3d graphics for a game.
When you say I want Direct X 10 you are talking about a graphics card.
So far all DX10 cards are going to be PCI Express but Im sure AGP cards will be coming soon.
As of right now even PCIx16 cards for DX10 are going to be in short supply.
