I am trying to do some things with Puppy Linux 2.0 seamonkey. I will bother to type out the details when someone who knows what the heck I am talking about shows their face...
I guess nobody does...that sucks. I am going to leave this thread just in case so here are my problems. I am having trouble installing wine and I also want to double boot with XP.
I'm not sure puppy linux is your best option in that case, I would go with a more mainstream version of linux like Fedora, or Ubuntu. Puppy requires a little more finesse and effort.
Here's a thought... give the people here on the forum a chance to live their lives before deciding that they're all ignoring you.
Everybody has trouble installing something on Linux at some point. Perhaps you'd like to start with a brief description of why exactly the installation is failing. Or just listen to Noodle and avoid the boutique distros.
Yeah. You might consider that nobody helped you, since you did not post your problem. Why would somebody post a question "Okay, What is your problem?", and then find out that they cannot help.
Okay. So, how are you trying to install Wine?
Is it an Unleashed/PupGet Package? http://www.murga.org/~puppy/viewtopic.php?t=8717&highlight=wine
A DotPup package? Are you trying to install it from the Source?
It looks like Puppy often lacks a lot of libraries, that may be needed for Wine to work.
