I just bought the Redeon 9550SE for 50 bucks, 128 meg, and now i have a dual monitor setup. The problem is i have no use for this. - a 17" and a 15" - Voltage problems and every once and a while i get lines going over the screen. not much, but enough to notice it on a white background. I need a resource to get a dual monitor patch for the following games -Counterstrike -Medal of Honor(all versions) - Call of Duty it would be neat to have a map on the second monitor, or processor load. Also how do i fix the lines when the secondary is on?
dont bother you wont find any such patches, having 2 monitors for games doesnt really help, I mean think of how strange it may seem to have one camera angle as a main center view and only a left or only a right angled view. there are some patches that make 3 monitor gameplay possible but you need either a second vid card or the Matrox Pahelia(which doesnt have the same performance as a 9550SE.)
ok, how bout a program that displays system load, and such. or maybe a program where i can use a keystroke to switch between the two so i can play games too
well nvidia has the Nview system for controlling multi monitors, and ATI has the same stuff called the Hydra, I dont know how to use Hydra since i havent had an ATI card in a long time let alone while having 2 monitors. Go to the ATI homepage and look up Hydra or Hydravision there to learn about it.
I play microsoft flight simulator games and dual mnonitors help me out a lot here as i can genreat 2 side views of a cockpit and put one on each screen giving a reasnoble representation of a real cockpit. Just updated my old crapy 15" to two 17" and soon will be getting 2 21"'s, its also very usefull for the internet having two full webpages open at once. Lojik
