I recently got a DVR system through Comcast cable. One thing I noticed is that the hard drive on the receiver isn't real big. Does anybody know if I can transfer some of the programs to my PC so I can sve more. I would also like to burn them to DVD for playback on my DVD player. Here's the model that I have: http://broadband.motorola.com/dvr/dct6412.asp

Well, it seems that there's two USB ports on it, so you might be able to hook an external HD to it.

-or-

Use the ethernet port to hook the box up to your router (assuming you actually have one).

I'll try that. Do you think it would show up like a flash drive?

It might actually show up as another computer.
