Ok, so here's my problem: Lately (in the last 2days) when I click on 'Edit' post button or 'Post Quick Reply' button, they just don't want to work. Those little black dots are starting to cirlcle next to the button, but nothing happens. The page won't start to load or reload, the progress bar of Firefox ain't appear at all. The problems is on my end cuz from a friend's laptop I could use these buttons without any problems. I use Firefox 126.96.36.199, tried to empty cache/cookies/temp etc, it didn't help.
Any suggestions would be great! It's tiresome to type in every time the whole link in the address bar to edit my posts...
First, try clearing your cache, might help...
Often the cause of the problem is a rogue Extension. Try disabling all of them, or creating a new Firefox profile to test.
Worst case scenario, upgrade to the new, improved Firefox 3.
Nitegriffin...tried to empty cache/cookies/temp etc, it didn't help.
Granted, I misspelled the word cache in the original post. How should I create a new Firefox profile? Netscape has this function, but in Firefox?
EDIT: OK, the problem will be one of the extensions, I disabled all of them and voila, it works again, only need to try out one by one which causes the problem...Thanks for the help, greatly appreciated!
That sucks, one of my favourite add-on made the crap, the download button of realplayer...Which is strange, cuz I have this plugin for a long time now, and didn't updated it or did anything to it, seems like it screwed up somehow by itself...
I've had that same problem with the forums here with Opera and Safari, with no extensions at all installed. Its worse when it happens to me, the buttons like quote, bold, underline, ect... all stop working.
I've never had that problem with any other sites, i think its something with the forums.
Maybe then our problems just seem to be exactly the same, but the resason behind them should be different, cuz few moments later when those buttons failed on my desk pc with firefox, they worked on a friends laptop's with Opera..So I think while it seems we had the same problem, yet yours might be caused by something else...How did you solve it after all?
