Microsoft has advised Mac users of Internet Explorer (IE) to switch to rival browsers such as Apple's Safari. The advice came as the software giant formally announced the end of IE for Apple Macs. Microsoft initially said it had stopped work on the browser in June. No more security updates will be provided as from the New Year. The browser itself will be removed from Microsoft's Mactopia site and no longer be available for download. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4542750.stm

Does anybody care ? IE is the worst browser ever its better than the windows version but still the worst browser. I dont think anyone is going to be affected. Safari is the default, Firefox has a reputation at the moment that cannot be beaten, Camino has some wicked techy features, and a growing following. IE has been rejected by the users, no matter how much Microsoft may try to say that it has rejected it's own user base.

Not may people care about IE its a rubbish browser I have it installed but never use it Safari is too good.

IE on the Mac certainly has a nice skin, looks nicer and runs better than the windows version. iemacskin4ru.jpg

I do admit. IE for Mac was a great browser. But Safari is a better browser big time than IE. Just now wish banking companies and other coperations would make their webpages not need IE to do banking and other money things. Stupid to make a Webpage needing a certain type of browser to use.

I think I may have to use IE Mac for one last time before they get rid off it. I'll use it all day tomorow after that Safari, Firefox,Camino and Shiira everynow and then.

Safari is the best browser ever I love it.
