Okay so my mom pretty much told me to order one now so it comes in time for christmas. I was gonna get the eVGA 128-A8-N350 Geforce 6600GT 128MB video card but the stupid thing is out of stock. So now im wondering if i should go for the JATON 3DForce6600GT Geforce 6600GT 128MB because it's in stock but it's rating isn't as high. And from the comments alot seem to be defective but when they aren't there kicking ass. So i need to know if theres any difference in between these two so far there almost like twins. eVGA: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130220 Jaton: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814139171 Specs: Compaq Pressario S6500NX 2.16 ghz athlon xp 3000+ 512 mb ram Windows xp 160gb -Thanks for your time and sorry about the bold something happened when i was copying and pasting
They seem to be pretty much reference boards, just be sure if you get the jaton one you get the same type of warranty you might with the evga then it wont matter too much if it does conk out.
Alright sounds good im usually carefull with things that pricey, but if any one else has anything else to say go right ahead.
The EVGA 6600GT is due in tomorrow , I think you could wait another day for it,
I picked this one up a few months ago, It has worked perfectly. It is a little more expensive but hell if mom's paying for it who cares
overclocked it a bit and it runs as good as a 6800GT
How the hell did you find that out, o well i can deff wait another day.
You buy the eVGA and you never again consider some good-for-nothing off-brand like "JATON".
You want to talk warranty? eVGA's is a lifetime warranty and covers everything short of deliberate damage.
So is it a fact that Jaton sucks?
Also evga has a thing that if you but a product now you have 3 months to switch it in for another card for the same price you paid for it.
My 6800GT is an evga and I love it. Built great and runs great. Go for the evga. You be happy.
O well i hope that BLOODYCHUNKS was right and the eVGA 6600gt is due in tmrw.
right under where it says "OUT OF STOCK" it says "ETA 12/11/05" have a look The same thing happened to me when i bought my 6800, sure enough it was in stock when the page said it would be
