Im having a problem, I have had it ever since I got my new computer(almost a year ago:uhm: ) and im sick of it now. Everytime I select a type of view on a folder(like thumbnails, tiles, icons ect) it always changes it. I want my stuff folder to be Thumbnail but it keeps changing it to tiles, I want my music folder to be icons, it changes them to details, movie folder from icons to thumbnail.

It is a REALLY be pain, and its always random so I have to keep changing them back. I don't know how to stop it.:(

Is there anyway to stop it from changing?

Start ---> Settings ---> Control Panel ---> Folder Options ---> "View" tab ---> "Remember each folder's view settings".

I have it unticked. You have to change icons in the my "my computer" which is root. All other subfolders and partitions will then change to what you please, and hopefully stay..

Doubleclick "My computer" ----> "View" tab ----> Choose "Large Icons - Small Icons - Details - List" (Whatever you want)

When you change the view settings in the "My Computer" window, all folders will be affected by the same changes.
