Final Liberation Warhammer Epic 40000(1997) Yea its old, but i like it. I played i t on 95, got it to work on ME, but it doesnt work on XP. When i run it, it gets by the opening videos, but then i hear an error and the screen goes black. when i minimize it the following error mesage is visable: Application error C:\Final Liberation\epic40k.exe The Instruction at 0046ba97 referenced memory at 00db0000 The Memory could not be written Click ok to terminate the application
I click ok, but it stays minimized, but not responding and i have to close it with task manager. What should I try or is there a patch or somthin? I know about compatability modes thing, but im not sure how to do it. (My CD is in Mint condition)
Find the program file (epic40k.exe it seems from your post), most likely somewhere in C:\Program Files. right click it and go to properties. then click on the tab where it says "compatibility", i would try setting it for windows 95 where it says "run this program in compatibility mode for", and check the rest of the options as well.
After that, try and run the program and see if it works, if it still won't work, try playing around with the compatibility settings as some games require certian settings (or so it seems).
I too recomend that you do what StaticX says, it's what I would have recomended.
You would find more help if you had posted about this problem in the tech area.
EDIT- Wait, I'll report it, and have it moved.
