Hey, i bought a ATI Radeon x1950 Pro gfx card today. Its requirments is 450watt power supply. I dont know how to find out how much watt my power supply is? I have a gateway GT4023E desktop. i inserted the card but you have to manually hook up the 6pin power supply to the gfx card by i only see a 4pin. any help is GREATLY appreciated. thanks.

You can either open up your computer to find out, download everest or pc wizard and one of them may tell you or you can go to gateway.com look up your computer and find out assuming that your p.s.u has never been changed.

You told me the computer actually so ill just go to gateway and see if i can find out.

it should be on your powersupply its self. take the side off and took at the sticker on it. you may have to take the psu out depending on where the sticker is located.

If you're throwing a higher end video card like that into a Gateway, chances are you'll want a better power supply anyways. When you do buy one, pay attention not only to the voltage, but to the +12v line amperage as that's important for giving that new gpu the juice it needs.

i went and bought a 650watt power supply with dual 12v rails. is the gfx card i got good? its a ATI Radeon X1950 PRO... it runs all games good but not at high resolution
