The only one I use is Forecastfox, which shows local weather stats at the bottom of the screen. If your home page has weather info though it's not needed of course.

Well that is a rather broad question since it depends on your surfing habbits.

I for example have chatzilla installed so I can go on IRC via firefox. I also installed some download addon that lets you mass download images from a site. This allowed me to download hundreds of images from WW2 photo databases without oainlessly doing so one by one page for page... Program is called BatchDownload.

I also used to have a tool installed for measuring (so I could quickly measure signature dimensions in pixels on these forums).

I personally only use the Irc add-on. But there are a few useful ones, like an ad-blocker, custom themes, weather, etc.

Well, I more of a general browser, I'm so use to IE as I've been using that forever.

Would I get all of these from the FireFox website?

Note that some of them still haven't been updated to be compatible w/ firefox 3.. So just make sure you look before you download. ;)

Adblock Plus is really useful, it blocks ads, but also any other images you want: videos, animations, etc, which is good if you know they slow your computer down lots. There's also one which blocks Java as well. Duplicate Tab is also really useful, it allows you to open links in a new window, with the original window's entire browsing history, which is quite useful, especially if you've closed the original window and you want to go back.
