I've already completely transisioned to IE7. I've been using it since the Beta 2 was released (March 20th, I think), and I'm completely used to it. I don't see myself switching to FireFox... $1 just isn't enough...

Come on! You could alteast visit my site with Internet Explorer, and then again with Firefox 15 minutes later.

You wouldn't get the dollar, I would.;)

IE7 is rubbish...

For every flash file you come across you have to right click it and press view file.

Yeah, $1 looks attractive, doesn't it? But consider that most people who use IE are net-novices, and will be equally unwilling to click something which appears to 'solve all their problems', let alone download anything they have been ushered into doing. Most net-novices are paranoid about spyware now, so if you bombard them with Firefox stuff they will likely ignore it.

Erm, yeah, this is a real victory. Let's encourage the richest corporation in the world into a contest involving money! Can't lose! Microsoft is a company which has repeatedly shown that it has very little sense of business ethics when it comes to its competitors. Even if this COULD work, and it WON'T, and it does manage to actually threaten Internet Exploder's dominance, all it will do is encourage Microsoft to actually do something about FireFox.

Besides, all that 'alert' will do is drive people away from the websites using it. As Reven said, most people ignore bull like that.

Only way for Firefox to kill IE is by Computer dealers like Dell put Firefox preinstalled on all their PC's for all n00bies can use it. Use Microsoft own tactic on them.

Main reason why n00bies to computers only use IE because it comes with the computer and they have no clue you can have another. What ever comes with the PC is what they mainly use.
