When I get my new computer I am gonna need a firewall, Antivirus and Spyware deleter/protection. I know there is a lot of good free programs out there, can you all suggest to me the best of these things I can get, Preferably free but if u have a good one that isnt free let me know. I formally am using Norton but I am fed up with it. Its a pain. Bartender

Spybot Seach & Destroy - keeps spyware off your system Ad Aware SE - keeps adware off your system AVG Anti Virus - Only free Antivirus i've had experience with, its pretty good. With those three, and Norton Systemworks which i never use anymore, i have not got a virus or any kind of spyware/adware for a long time.

Yup, what he said. Might I also suggest Zone Alarm for firewall and Microsoft Anti-Spyware as well. both work very well IMO

i would say AVG Anti Virus - Spybot Seach & Destroy - Ad Aware SE - Mricosft antispyware Zone Labs all free or go to google and do a search there , ensure if you download a free one make sure they are a popular one as many small ones may be into harvesting information of you!

I reccomend Avast Antivirus over AVG any day. http://www.avast.com/. Avast is much better then AVG Antivirus.

Apart from that, Zone Alarm is good for a firewall, Microsoft Antispyware is good. Kerio personal firewall is also worth looking at too and also Zone Labs Securtiy Suite if you want to splash out.

Norton = No no.

Kerio is not as easy to setup as some of it's competitors, but I reckon it's a superior product.

I suggest the following: Spyware: Adaware, it gets rid of all the spyware you got and it tis free Viruses: PC Cillin, it is easy to use and works like a charm and it provides a firewall
