i need to get a flash drive, or an Ipod type device to transfer crap from school to home so i can work on it....im sick of buring CD's all of the time

im thinking about this one

or maybe an IPOD...my friend has one and really likes it....has music and other sruff on it...i dont have the cash (has to be under 150) to get one...anyone know of anything like it for under that price???

That does look good...What file sizes are you thinking of transfering from school to home? *EDIT*: I heard Amazon has a sale on on MP3 Players AND IPods but the price drop still may not come into that budget.

well the school has 10 T1 lines coming in....so a crap load of music ;).......

and the websites i work on usually are under 10 meg, adobe photoshop crap varies from small files (100kb) to large stuff (90mb)...i did a pic for the yearkbook, 8x11 inches and a 400 pixels per inch resolution....some adobe premiere stuff, and other things.....plus i would like the 1 gig for college in the fall....i will def need it there.....

So you do need quite a bit o' space indeed.;) :p

Well my brother has a 20gb Ipod for I think 200 pounds (not sure exactly) and it's excellent, just like a portable HDD with MP3 player capabilities etc, and I know you can even get up to 30gb. :p (May be able to get more but I haven't researched that more yet.)

I'd get a SanDisk flash drive. Do a search on www.amazon.com for them. my friend has one and he finds it very dependable. I've seen 256mb and 512mb models.that cost $31 and $50

1GB pen drives can be had for under $90 now. iPods suck for playing music. External HDD?

DO NOT GET AN iPOD!. If you are going to get a microdisc based MP3 player get a Zen Touch.
