Quick Question: If I have Vsync on and my monitor (lcd) refresh rate is 60hz, is that why I will get a solid 60fps in every game I play or is the refresh rate just a coincidence because it always seem to say at a solid 60fps no matter what game unless of course I take of vsync and some have said its due to the above theory.

That's exactly why. Turn off Vsync if you want to go over 60. You might experience horizontal tearing, but it really isn't a problem if you ask me.

Won't make a difference... you never actually go "above" sixty if your monitor has a refresh rate of 60MHz.

60Hz. If it were 60MHz then it would, but your eyes wouldn't be able to display that sort of speed. =p
