For gaming... Steelseries 5h V2. I have used other high-end brands for gaming and I would have to say if you get a quality sound card to go along with these cans they cant be beat for gaming. While they're not amazing for music and movies the sound in games is quite spectacular. Not to mention the fact that you can wear them for hours upon hours without even knowing they're on your head. (and they have an amazing mic built in the earpiece)

Another thing is do not get headphones with "virtual surround sound". While it sounds cool to have that, it really doesn't work too well in games and ends up being more of a liability more than anything else.

For a sound card I would suggest an Asus Xonar. They have excellent sound and actually have good driver support, unlike creative.

Thanks for all the help guys but i went for look in the computer shop today and i have talked my way into getting my warranty for my barracudas so ill have my true 5.1s back :D So maybe ill just invest in a sound card now
