I'm saving for a Logitech MX510. Greatest gaming mouse known to man. Until then I'll stick with my stock Compaq ball mouse :(

Welcome to the Mouse wheel community. Trust me, you'll never go back. :D

Now EVERY mouse comes with a wheel. Did you know it was a button? Push down on it ;)

Seriously. I can't remember the last mouse I used that didn't have a wheel.

I have a five button optical wired wheeled mouse my dad bought me. I like it, but the 2 extra buttons are messed ingame, probably because I have them set to close windows and open the start menu.

Up until earlier today, I was using a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer Optical (V 3.0!!!). Unfortunately, the left button went caput (coincidentally, the button with which you shoot guns in most games...), so I'm stuck with a basic Wheel Mouse Optical (I KNEW it was a good idea to keep a decent optical spare). It's not much to look at (white, goes great with my BLACK case and BLACK monitor... not), and it doesn't have many advanced features (two buttons and a wheel. Wow), but strangely enough I like it. The buttons click just right, the wheel is very nice to use and click, and being optical there are no issues with movement.

I am on the lookout for a new mouse now, though... I'm thinking Logitech LASERS if they have one with a cable.

Logitech only has one mouse out that uses the laser. The MX1000. It's wireless. I highly recommend the Logitech MX510 though. The buttons click just fine to me and the wheel click is perfect because you don't have to hear it but you can still feel it.

I have the MX1000 and it is amazing. Its impossible to tell that it is wireless, I have not had one problem with it. Its the best mouse I have ever used.

The only thing bad about it is you have to plug in the stand, but this is because the mouse needs to be recharged about once a week. If you are willing to cough up the cash, go for it. Highly recommended.

i use the 8 button logitech MX500..works perfectly...also, if your big into gaming, use: http://www.logigamer.com/ and you can assign the keys for in-game play. this also works for the MX310, MX510, MX700 and the AND MX1000
