I was about to buy the MX500 but when I tried the MX500 and the MX510 in store the MX510 seemed smoother then the MX500. Also I don't like the idea of the MX1000 because the non-replacable battery.
the mx 1000 is not , i repaet NOT better than the mx 510 !! it laggs when you do fast turns. its more precise with more dpi thats true but surely not better at all...if you are in gaming , i recommend the mx510 or the razor diamondback series. those are the best gaming mouses so far.
i agree with tetsu, i have both & the mx1000 & the mx 510 lag (the mx100 most)
It isnt down to a slow pc or poor quality hardware/software, i have this on a top end gaming pc & its still messed up.

well i have the mx1000 and got no problems with it, its definitely faster than my old optical mouse, and you can replace the battery, the only thing is i keep forgetting to put it on the base to recharge although it last almost a week on 1 charge i'll try that software as well and see what happens
Thinking about it.
I still prefer my MX510 over all.
I didn't make it!
I just got the mx1000, I have to say it works very well...no lag at all.
It works as well if not a bit better thatn my old (worn out) ms explorer 3.0 optical-corded. Although never tried the mx500 or 510... thomas
I'm getting an Air Flow Mouse forjust under 20 quid. 850dpi sensor thing and it breathes air on your sweaty palms. PC Gamer Recomended...
i LOVE my mx500, best mouse ive ever had, very smooth and never at all lags
Well I got my new mouse [the air flo one] and here are the pro's and con's:
Cool Air Blowing More Dpi Looks Cooler More Grip
Feels Cheaper Isn't as ergonomic Less buttons
But I like it. An aqquired taste though.
