Whats the difference between DDR and GDDR. Technicaly and performace wise.

not heard of GDDR, do you mean DDR2?

My geforce 6800 is using gddr3 so thats why I asked. It seems gddr3 is the new generation of gfx ram. Its faster with a new artchitecture.
