What's the use. With the newer cards hitting the market those 6800's will be dropping in price significantly. I'd rather go with a 6800ultra, if I required a midranger.

NAAAH. You'll be good, besides the new card doesn't sound that much more dominating, unless your money is really burning a hole in your pocket. But if you did itch to upgrade you might start seeing some 7800 cards become more affordable! :naughty: Minus 4 pipes a OC'd 7800gt will be able to keep up with the 7900gt's, but should be cheaper.

Putting several variables aside. If you feel you need to upgrade, that may be a smart move and a sacrifice worth making. Cause you just KNOW there will be a TON of folks jumping on that band wagon... just because. Selling what they have to get the new thing. Especially if they get released at their projected MSRP and they actually have sufficient cards made, it will SIGNIFICANTLY drive down the prices of the 7800's. why have a 7800 when you can get a 7900 for the same price. Just don't get sucked up in the vacuum and lose more than it's worth. Depending on how the chips fall you could be poised to lose 50-100 on your used card if you wait too long.

My guesstimate would be to see used 7800gt's in the $150-200 range. Their 250-270$ now brand new.
