Hi guys. After long deliberation, I will be purchasing a new PC primarily for gaming but I will also be using Adobe Premiere on it to edit videos. Please you please tell me what I'd need to enjoy games such as World in Conflict, CoD 4, Team Fortress and Spore (when it comes out). I assume it's a dual core (no idea what speed needed), at least 2GBs of RAM and I have absolutely no clue on the latest graphics cards and their abilities. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Well, I hate to procrastinate, but without a budget I don't know what exactly what to suggest, but I can base some components off of the games you said. These are the basic components I would suggest:

Processor: Core 2 Duo E8400 Or: Core 2 Duo E6750

Motherboard:
Intel P35 North Bridge:
Single PCI-Ex16: Gigabyte DS3L Dual PCI-Ex16: Asus P5K Deluxe Gigabyte DS4 Asus P5K-E
nVidia 650i/680i North Bridge: Asus P5N-E SLI(650i) MSI P6N Platinum(650i) Asus P5N32-E SLI(680i) EVGA(680i
Video Card: XFX 8800GT EVGA 8800GT Asus 8800GT

As for the Power Supply, maybe some of the other guys like Omen can help you with that. And memory is just a personal preference.

As for Cases, the Antec 900 or the Antec P180 are really nice cases, but the case should reflect your style.

For the HDD, I would recommend Seagate Barracuda 320GB.

And here are some good RAM modules: 2GB: Corsair Crucial OCZ Set 1 OCZ Set 2

4GB: Corsair Set 1 Corsair Set 2 OCZ Set 1 OCZ Set 2

NOTE: The first of each category is my most recommended, I figured I would give you some choices; however, of the P35 boards, I would most recommend the Asus P5K Deluxe.

Ok thanks very much for the advice. I'll begin my search soon. Unfortunately, I'm in the UK so I can't buy from Newegg but at least I know the general spec I need to be looking for. When I get one I'll post the specs this thread :)

I'm all for MSI, but not their video cards. I'd trust Asus, XFX, or EVGA a whole lot more than I would trust MSI.
