Im going to be getting a new CPU and Mobo pretty soon in just a couple of weeks and i just want to make sure im getting a good deal. Heres what Ive been thinking of so far... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103547 CPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813157081 Mobo Thats probably the most expensive one im thinking of... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103562 CPU (same mobo) Thats a slightly cheaper one but i dont know if the 3800+ is really worth it or not And the final one which is the cheapest but isnt Duel core which i really want to get into.... http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp? EdpNo=2161162&CatId=0 CPU and Mobo Combo I basically cant decide and i really want to get into Duel Proccessors but not have to spend alot on it. My price range is about $200-$400 but i really want to keep it as cheap as possible. Please reccomend one of the above for me or if you want to find something better the Mobo just needs to have, Support AMD X2 4 DDR400 slots 1 AGP slot 1 PCI-E slot (if possible, i might upgrade in the future to it) Power Pin doesnt matter (mine can be 20 or 24 2 PCI slots and thats all i can really think of. Also i really want the CPU to be Duel core but as cheap as possible. Please help, thx.

If your getting a 3800+ these tend to clock very well so I'd get a DFI motherboard as these are the best overclocking motherboards money can buy.

The 4200+ is clocked 200Mhz higher than the 3800+ and has a higher multiplier. The 3800+ would easily OC to 4200+ speeds so i'd get the 3800+ and get clocking.

Bigtime, i use one and it runs easily at 400 mhz overclock and ive had it faster but my ram cant keep up. Superb chip.

you are probably planing to use an Agp video card arent you ?dont get that asrock board, the chipset does not support agp properly and your system will lock up left and right, i had this board for 2 days and had to send it back for that issue, the chipset overheats with agp cards. drivers support from Uli sucks and its availability questionable specially since ULI got bough out by NVidia. if you must use an agp board, get one with a nforce3 chipset (also buggy but not as much as the damne Uli) or something with a kt chipset
