Hey i was wondering what programs you guys use to make your avatars/sigs (if you made it)
adobe photoshop is the most popular www.adobe.com for a free trial of that (or you could find ways around 'trials') if you are looking for something more... animated i suggest animation shop at www.jasc.com its a trial but you can use it forever :)
Remember, Photoshop is around $700 retail. Expensive. I'm sure that trial will work, or just get Adobe Image Ready.
(Wow, Kr1nge, you know your stuff! Awesome!)
i dont know how to make gifs/animations in photoshop. anybody got a usefull tutorial?
i just made a l33t post that should help you out http://www.gamingforums.com/showthread.php?p=1143363#post1143363
pretty long list, better start looking...
do you know which ones are related to animations.................. i can't find one... and half the links don't work
First create all you're frames (the separate images that make up the animation) name them "name***.ext" where name is a name you have decided to call the sequence, keep it the same throughout that specific sequence unless you want to mess around when you get into the gif making bit and *** is the number (IE: first frame would be 001,) you must put zero's in front of it or it wont evaluate properly later and you'll have to drag the frames about. When you have saved them all out to one, (empty apart from you're animation sequence,) folder using the correct naming format, go to image ready, (its part of adobe) and go to "File > import > folder as frames" then click on the folder where you saved you're images and assuming you named them all properly it should arrange the sequence for you, click on the little arrow next to zero sec to set the delay between each frame, oh and make sure all you're frames are the same size.
Edit go to "file > save optimised as" to export as a gif format and select "Images only (*.gif)"
so make a bunch of pictures and save them as a gif bassicly with little steps in between?
To make .GIFs in Photoshop more easy than the sequencing, I suggest you get ImageReady. At least it came with PS7 for me.
I am so lucky I have a friend (*GASPS* Yes, I have one firned.) whose dad does a lot of graphics design. He upgraded to CS and he let me have the "old" version.
I take what n0e says way too seriously
